Gallery 1988 (West) presents a collection of artwork inspired by the horror master Stephen King. My contributions pay tribute to Firestarter and Christine with Matchbox art labels. Along with signed matted prints, my framed pieces incorporation faux matchboxes and matches (wooden dowels and red sculpey.) Guzu Gallery presents “Nothing New- Artwork inspired by the 90s.” For the show I created a mashup of two monumental animation icons from the decade with Pixar’s “Toy Story” and John Kricfalusi’s Ren & Stimpy.
Variants of my Rick and Morty Cronenberg prints were produced for Gallery 1988 in response to the popularity of the first editions. These variants include extra call outs like Rick’s spaceship, portal and portal gun. The edition of each sold within 12 hours.
