Gallery 1988- Idiot Box- Artwork Inspired by TV

BatCaveLowRes“Batcave” by Chet Phillips (Click image to enlarge)

Gallery1988(West) presents “Idiot Box,” an art show inspired by current and classic television shows. For my entry, I paid tribute to the 1966 Batman TV show with a rendition of the batcave set. Replete with batmobile, an endless supply of high tech, state of the art computers, lab equipment and power reactor (plus one tongue-in-cheek addition.) “Batcave” is a signed limited edition Giclee print run of 50.

Mint Condition 2 Art Show- ChetArt Entry

The Detective

“The Detective” was created for Ltd. Gallery’s “Mint Condition 2” show which opens March 1st and is presented in conjunction with Emerald City Comic Con. For this comic book themed art show I created a still life incorporating Batman’s 1940’s Batmobile… in kiddie ride form. Closer inspection reveals several references to some of Batman’s famous foes. This piece will be available for sale at the gallery as a 1/1 16″ x 20 framed Giclee and as an edition of signed and matted 11″ x 14″ prints (20.) If you can’t make it to the gallery the edition will be made available for sale through the gallery’s web site.
