The release of MailChimp 5.2 has added an “Autoconnect Etsy Template” that allows users to automagically design an email template with news about your shop or latest items. The folks at MailChimp used my Monkey-centric Etsy shop as an example for this new and exciting feature in their announcement video and their “Let’s Get Social Guide.”

Max Dalton has created a wonderful “inventory” piece that lays out all the elements from those wonderful spaghetti westerns. Looking at this, I can almost hear the whining ricochet of bullets and see the comically crooked lip syncing.

Jon McNaught has a talent for creating delicate and lyrical imagery from everyday scenes, such as the series shown above, titled “Jet Streams.”
If asked to choose an artist with a like-minded penchant for absurd silliness, all signs point to Ryan Abegglen.
I’m really enjoying the aged and elegant look of Rob Bridges work. Great expression and use of colors.
Seb/Niark1, a French graphic designer, is creating some fun kinetic work.
Austin photographer Adam Voorhes has a way of translating a tongue-in-cheek whimsical point of view into his work with beautifully sharp clarity. (Let’s face it, most of us either did or schemed of doing an autopsy on an etch-a-sketch in our youth.) Be sure and check out the refreshing approach for his “About” section.

Shaun Tan’s magnificent work has been translated into a short film from his book “The Lost Thing.”
“The German artist duo behind Coarse, once again showcases their distinctive aesthetic. Their forms are dominated by smooth curves, hard lines and sharp edges, combined to point of a unity. “Coarse unveils their long anticipated ‘false friends’ series, a set of two original vinyl statues. The release incorporates key coarse characters ‘paw!’, a monkey cross rabbit, and ‘noop’, a human like being, as they portray another episode in the ongoing Coarse story.
