The Blue Genie Art Bazaar is a unique holiday shopping experience held annually in Austin, TX. The event runs from Black Friday through Christmas Eve, open every day from 10AM-10PM (closing at 6PM on Christmas Eve.) With 200+ artists on display, it’s always an honor to be included. “Kaiju Man” is an accordion style book measuring 4.75″ x 6″ folded and approx. 37″ x 6″ when opened and expanded. Through words and pictures it tells the story of a man who experiences a dramatic transformation with ultimately tragic results.
Packaged in a paper sleeve with Chiyogami paper strip, signed with Japanese chop that translates to “Chet.”
San Diego Comic Con 2017: ChetArt table in the Small Press area, table O-01. 2017 was a great year in San Diego for us thanks to the great support of everyone who came by to purchase and visit. Preview night! Jeffrey Vaca presented me with a vintage game cartridge version of my Parzival’s Quest artwork that I created in tribute to Ready Player One. Thank you Jeffrey, for the wonderfully creative gift!

The 2016 Blue Genie Art Bazaar is an Austin, TX tradition. The event opens on Black Friday/November 25th at 10AM and will be open from 10AM-10PM every day forward until Christmas Eve (6PM.) With almost 200 artist’s spaces filled with local and handmade goods, this is an event well worth attending for all your fun and unique holiday gifts. This year Blue Genie will be at a new and beautiful location- 6100 Airport Blvd. across from ACC Highland.

Hands down the most effective and popular display on the floor was the Walking Dead lineup. Many of the figures looked so lifelike you expected them to blink and move.
Sideshow Collectibles was across from our location and always brings the wow factor with their collection of statues.

The crowds went wild as the cast of Suicide Squad, led by Will Smith, entered the exhibit floor and greeted the screaming crowd from the DC balcony.

On Friday I received a pleasant surprise as the fantastically creative Chogrin stopped by with his son to say hello. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Chogrin on a number of gallery shows, but up until now we had never met.
We have the best neighbors in Small Press. Across from us is the incredibly talented and funny Paul Friedrich.
Ryan Claytor of Elephant Eater comics creates comics goodness and a flair for pinball flavored fun. He’s also an expert level 5 ninja photo bomber.
Shing Yin Knor, a.k.a. Sawdust Bear creates work that is detailed, beautiful and infused with lots of humor.
Liana Hee completed her first SDCC in Small Press to great success. I caught this picture as Josh Shalek, another Small Press hero was visiting.
Our great friends and infinitely creative duo Cesare and Kirstie of Curio Co. We were so happy to have them next to us again this year. They have raised the bar for success with an exciting Hollywood deal that’s in the works. Watch their space for an upcoming movie based on one of their books.
