“The German artist duo behind Coarse, once again showcases their distinctive aesthetic. Their forms are dominated by smooth curves, hard lines and sharp edges, combined to point of a unity. “Coarse unveils their long anticipated ‘false friends’ series, a set of two original vinyl statues. The release incorporates key coarse characters ‘paw!’, a monkey cross rabbit, and ‘noop’, a human like being, as they portray another episode in the ongoing Coarse story.

Just released: the paperback book, limited edition hardcover book and trading card set depicting members of a secret society quite sinister. Part Victorian, part Steampunk and all evil. 122 pages. 24 evil simians illustrated with extensive biographies. Map detailing the realm of sinister sway, weapons and medals galleries as well as an addendum of sinister ephemera. The hardback version is hand bound with a rich Flanders British Tan bonded leather covering, sewn pages and topped off with a custom gold foil stamp. Each is signed and numbered from an edition of 50. The trading card set includes the complete roster of evil membership with the added fun of a poster puzzle on the reverse.
Frank Frazetta 1928-2010
The creator responsible for some of the most iconic images from the worlds of swords-and-sorcery and science-fiction, Frank Frazetta died due to a stroke on Monday. Perhaps best known for his paintings of Conan the Barbarian that adorned the covers of Robert E. Howard’s paperback adventures, the artist contributed both covers and interior art for comics and numerous novels — including the “Creepy” and “Eerie” comics and countless other publications. For me personally, his cover for the Conan paperback (shown above) was the first of many that lured me into the world of Robert E. Howard’s stories as a teenager in the early 70’s.
